Question: PLEASE HELP!!! aNY BODY CANN!!!!!?
please help me calm down I AM SOOO MAD RIGHT NOW im a very compettive gymnast i work out 18 hours a week and i have to wear a cast for 4-6 weeks becuase i have a stress fracture !.!. its removable but im pissed and gonna go on a diet because im not gonna be able to work out i am SOOO PISSED help!! i feel liek the world is out to get meWww@Answer-Health@Com

Let your self heal and let your body get back on track I know it is so hard worrying about your weight but you can not do that right now!. Just go with the flow when you are healed you can get back in shape, but if you push it right now you make never be the same again and you may have long term problems!. I broke my leg last year and was on a coutch for a month, it freaking sucked but you have to let your body heal!. Put your energy in to something else, liek reading a good book, scrapbooking, or even vido games!. Dont get down on your self that is the worst thing you can do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

But I would say this:

Don't go on a diet!. I understand your reasoning for going on a diet, but don't!. Your body needs energy, calcium, and other vitamins and minerals to repair your stress fracture!. So don't skimp out on eating, because that's where you get those important nutrients! If you diet, you could be in a cast for LONGER because your fracture hasn't healed!.

You won't gain that much weight in 4-6 weeks, anyway, if you avoid fatty foods and eat smart!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

stress fracture might be because you are so competitive that you have overdone the workouts!. Regardless of how you get over current problem, you might think about avoiding it happening again by being less competitive!.

Sounds like a need for yoga, where being flexible and steady counts!. By doing yoga you would learn to stretch and prevent stress fractures, hopefully!. The relaxation/meditation part of yoga could help you understand why you are so competitive!.

Maybe this has happened at just the right time for you to change your outlook!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Calm down and take a deep breath!. Surely it's not the end of the world that this happened to you!. There are other ways of working out that aren't going to put too much stress on your stress fracture!.

Try swimming, this is non-weight bearing and so will not hurt your injury!.

You have got to take it easy!.
You have a STRESS fracture!.
Sit down, drink some tea, and watch a soap opera or something!.
Don't worry about competitiveness, or anything else!.
You won't regret taking a well deserved break!.
Take some special pills, too!.
Or weed, that's mellowing!. =]
