Lo has a lower level of estrogen (ethinyl estradiol) in it than the regular does--0!.025 mg per pill in Lo compared to 0!.035 mg in Ortho Tri Cyclen!. They have the same amount of progesterone (in this case, norgestimate)--0!.180 mg in the white tablets, 0!.215 in the light blue and 0!.0250 in the dark blue pills!.
The results are the same, but I had more side effects when i took regular Ortho Tri-cyclen than I do when i take the Lo!. The higher dosage made me queasy, whereas the lower one does not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ortho lo contains a smaller amount of hormones!. the smaller the amount of hormones, the smaller the chance for side effects!. however, I started off taking the low dose and had to move up to a higher dose because they thought I was still getting ovarian cysts!. Although now, I am considering going back to the low dose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would think the only difference is the amount of hormones in it!. The side effects would probably be less in the LO than in the regular one!. It will produce the same result either way or it should anyhow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
