Question: How many eggs does a woman have in her ovaries when she is born!? Any links for solid proof!?!?LOL!?

A female is born with about 2 million eggs!. about 1!.5 million die off!. once a woman hits puberty only 400,000 remain!. However assuming she starts menstrating at 14 (average age) and ends menstration at age 50 (average age) she will only ovulate 480 times!.!.!.so that 400,000 eggs doesnt seem like alot but its more than enough!!!! Once she has about 1,000 left she will go through menopause!.

I don't know what constitutes solid proof for you, though!. The only way to know exactly how many oocytes were present in the ovaries at birth would require destruction of the ovaries themselves for the count!. But the number they quote is about average, based on research!. By the way, they are not truly "eggs" at that point!. Note I called them oocytes!. Those are immature ovum, which will not mature until the onset of puberty and the production of luteinizing hormones begins!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
