Hi there,

Since BC helped the situation, my best guess is that you either have endometriosis, or you have a hormonal imbalance!. BC potentially can help symptoms of each of these!.

If you want to start having kids, then I would definately suggest seeing a fertility specialist right away!. They can help you determine which issue is the culprit and help you!.

If endometriosis, they can perform a laparoscopic surgery (non-invasive) to remove the extra tissue, and this will give you a window of fertility without so much bleeding!.

If hormonal imbalance, they can find out the specific problem, and balance you out without BC!.

I wish you luck! Sounds very frustrating!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might have yourself checked for fibroid tumors, I talked with my wife about this question; she said that some birth control pills do shink them and that is why your doc!. might want you on them!.!.!. But I don't know why your doctor didn't tell you this!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure why your periods would change like that all of a sudden!. I know how you feel though!. I'm in a very similar situation!. I have had heavy periods, heavy bleeding between periods, and sharp pelvic pain for the past year!. I have been on 5 different birth control pills in the past year, none of which have helped, and the doctors still don't know what's wrong with me either!. It sounds like you could have endometriosis!. (My doc checked me for this, but said she didn't find anything) If it is endo, it's important to get it diagnosed quickly because it can affect your fertility!. Since you are trying to have kids and obviously can't be on birth control while doing so, I would suggest seeing a fertility specialist about this!. I hope you figure something out!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You just have a sodium imbalance!. Either you don't get enough in your diet, or you just run low and burn yourself out!. Once your sodium becomes low, you can't retain your water and you seem to start menstruating!. The pill seems to have a side effect, it makes most girls pee a lot, and many girls get uninary tract infections!. In any case, you just need to get more sodium in your diet!.
This was probably the case in the first place!. I don't know why so many doctors do the same thing or at least they can't just ask a girl what kind of diet she has!. Health and nutrition mean everything when you have to menstruate!.
If after 3 days, of menstruating, if you are still bleeding, you are so heavy you have flushed everything out of your system!. You are anemic and weak!. You obviously have a low sodium, too!. You can get orange juice, a sports drink or just fix a bowl of soup and eat it up!. You should brace yourself for a feeling or terrible thirst!. Don't drink so much water you flush out the sodium all over again!. You may bloat and retain your water, but that's what you want!.
You may cramp a bit, so take some acetaminophen about an hour ahead of time or you will start menstruating again from the cramps!. Don't take aspirin, it will thin your blood and you will start again!. Don't drink a lot of grape juice, it thins your blood!.
This could make you come down off an edgy high, so don't be surprised if you become sleepy and moody!. Your blood could turn dark brown and it could turn clumpy but it should definitely slow down!. You could lose your appetite or become terribly hungry!. Try not to eat junk food!. It can make you irritable and leave you burnt out!. Dont go all sporty and do too much cardio!. You could get sudden spurts and gushes that leak!.
Give it a couple of days from the last day you had a heavy flow, and you should feel like yourself again!. Some B complex vitamins can help if you get grumpy and an iron supplement would be a good idea, but it's just to help you feel better!. If you're not up to running out and getting all that, then don't!. Red meat and green vegetables can help, too!.
I hope you feel much better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
