Most ovarian cysts are "functional" cysts and when they rupture, are reabsorbed by your body!.
Your surgeon can do a laparoscopy (the "belly button" incisions); take a biopsy, send it to the lab immediately (called a "Frozen section) and receive the pathology results while you are still in the operating room!. Most of the time they go away on their own, but sometimes they need to be drained via surgery (I forget what the cutoff is for size though, sorry)!. Call your doctor and ask!. I've had cysts for years and none of mine have ever been large enough to need to be drained or removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
