Heavy/Painful menstual cycle?!

Question: Heavy/Painful menstual cycle!?
My menstrual cycle is weird!.

It's irregular, most times lasts longer than a week, (the record is three) and is really embarassing because it's so heavy and unpredictable!. I keep 'personals' with me all the time, and there's always a change of clothes in my car, just in case, but it's really just!.!.!.embarassing!.

I get huge blood clots, it almost looks like chunks of my uterus are coming out, and it's very painful!. It feels like someone's ripping out my intestines and tying them in knots!. Most of the time, it's way too painful for me to move much, and I take Ibuprofin like candy, but I still move around like an arthritic old woman!.

I've been to the Gyno, but she says the pain is normal, and I'm just exaggerating it, and all girls have some issues with blood clots!. She brushes off all my questions like they're nothing, while I'm pale and sick looking from the pain and the pills and the bleeding!.

I'm not a 'free spirit' by any means, so I know it can't be an 'invasive' issue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My periods are like this too!.!.!.or I'll go months without having one!.!.!.!.My doctor put me on birth control to help regulate my period and hopefully help them not be as painful!.!.!.!.If that doesn't help then she is going to run tests to find out if there is something more serious!. Sounds to me like you need to find a different doctor, you are paying them to care!.!.!.ask if you can be put on birth control sometimes that is all you need to get your body on the right track!.!.!.Good luck and I'm sorry you have to go through that!.

"There is a broad range of "normal" among menstruating women!. Unpredictable or long menstrual cycles are normal for teenagers and women in their 40s!. For teens, a normal cycle can be as short as 21 days or as long as 45 days!. If you are a teen, you can expect cycles to even out over time!. If you are nearing the age of menopause, you can expect menstrual cycles to become longer and eventually to stop!. If you are not a teen or older than 40 and your cycles are shorter than 21 days or longer than 35 days, there is a chance that you have a problem that needs to be checked by your doctor!.

You will need a medical check by a health professional if you have any change in your menstrual pattern or amount of bleeding that affects your daily life!. This includes menstrual bleeding, for three or more menstrual cycles, that:

Lasts longer than 7 days!.
Is a sudden or big change from your usual period!.
Is very heavy!. This means that you are passing large clots or soaking through your usual pads or tampons each hour for 2 or more hours!.
Other symptoms you need to have checked include:

Bleeding between menstrual periods!.
Pelvic pain that is not linked to menstrual bleeding and lasts longer than a day!.
If you are a teenage girl, see your doctor if you have not started having periods by age 15!.

This is not normal and shame on your gynecologist for brushing off your concerns!. Normal bleeding doesn't last longer than a week and you shouldn't go through a pad or tampon more than once every three hours!.

The paleness suggests anemia, which is what happens when you lose too much blood!.

I'd recommend finding another doctor ASAP!. Things can be done, and there's no reason for you to put up with that kind of pain and inconvenience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your doctor's not taking it seriously, you need to see somebody else! There are solutions to your problem!. A different doctor will probably put you on a birth control pill to shorten/lighten your period and help with the cramps!. Please see somebody else!Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, I am a guy so I don't have the first clue!. Let me just tell you "Women" that you don't come any tougher you guys! Most men could not even come close to doing what you have to do (myself included)!. I do know that if your medical professional is not taking you serious then it is time to find a new one!. If you are getting the same response from numerous professional sources, then (and only then) should you maybe start to consider what they are telling you!. You know better than anyone, don't give up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
