My sister had a miscarriage 2 years ago!. She and her husband really had a hard time getting to that point, so it was really very hard for them to deal with!. She found it really difficult to open up to her friends about it because she didn't really know how to approach the subject!. However, once she started talking to people about it, she was overwhelmed at the amount of support and insight people were able to give her!. She found that many of her friends had had similar experiences, and even though none of them were exactly the same, talking about things really is therapeutic!.

In your case, I would look for support groups in your area for pregnancy loss to help you find that there are others around you who have similar experiences and that you are not alone!.

The surgery is also something that you will be able to work through!. You may be having similar feelings that women experience with early histerectomy or breast cancer survivors!. Although your experience is certainly not the same, there is a part of ourselves that we identify with and form our self-evaluations (even people who have any small scar from an accident or something can experience a certain degree of loss)!. You can find support groups for this as well!. My mother's best friend had a masectomy in her 40's and felt a little bit of that loss!. She has shared the experience with us and tries to help other people through things like that!.

I hope that you can hold onto yourself!. You are still the same person!. The feelings of loss you have right now are justified!. You have every right to feel upset and you should embrace that and let yourself feel whatever it is you need to feel!. You might benefit from keeping a journal to see your progress!. Let yourself move forward by focusing on you evaluations of the experiences and your responses to them!.

Try to focus on the person that you are and the kind of person you want to be!. Even though our experiences affect us and add something to us, they don't have to control us!.

My heart goes out to you at this time and I hope that you can begin to feel comfortable enough to share your feelings with good friends and local support groups!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
