Question: Should I expect to be 'exposed' during abdominal ultrasound!? What else should I expect!?

An abdominal ultrasound is of your abdomen (liver,kidneys,gallbladder,spleen, IVC, pancreas, Aorta) The tech will lift your shirt up and put a towel tucked into your shirt so she does not get gel on you!. The gel may be cold or it may be warmed if they have a warmer!. You will not be exposed if you mean private parts!. If you mean exposed to xray you wont be exposed to that either!. We use soundwaves to get the images!. it will not hurt just maybe a little pressure on the ribs or if they have to push gas out of the way!. Do not eat after midnight of the day you got for your ultrasound this will give better results and is usually routine prep for the exam!. If you have any other questions you can message me!.
If it is a pelvis exam they lower your pants a little and pubic hair can be exposed if the second part is included then you are exposed because of it being a transvaginal ultrasound where the transducer is inserted into the vagina!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They may ask you to undress from the waist down , but you do it in private and cover yourself with a sheet before the technician comes in!. Don't worry they do this all day long and they won't be studying you or anything scary!.
They may just have you pull your pants down!. They put the jelly on you and then run the paddle over your belly!. It isn't painful or uncomfortable!. Depending on your situation , they may or may not talk to you throughout the process!. They'll take pictures of anything they feel is relevant with the paddle!. Well I almost had to do that because of my spleen!. And they thought I was pregnant!. So stupid!. But you will just have to lift up your shirt and unzip your pants!. probably pull them down a little so they can get the whole stomach!. Pubic hair exposure is possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i just had to lift my shirt up,pull my pants down a bit!.!.!.she put luve or the gell on me and then started the ultra sound!. she checked my ovaries,and kidneys!. but as i didnt drink water in time,i had to have the vaginal; ultra sound (probe)Www@Answer-Health@Com
your abdomin ll be exposed till the unguental area, there s no problem with this!.!.in the future u ll be more exposed when u r on labour!.!.right!Www@Answer-Health@Com
