Thrush treatment - advice please!?!

Question: Thrush treatment - advice please!!?
Hi, I have a problem with recurring thrush, I have seen the GP over this but all she did was give me another single pessary!. I get the symptoms every month, 2 weeks before my period!. I think the symptoms are related to me being on the pill, as I have only noticed it since I went on the pill (microgynon)!. Does anyone know if changing it would do me any good!? I do have an appointment with the nurse next week, and im hoping she will help me more than the doctor did!.
Also I think im starting wit reoccurance now, should i take fluconazole now, or wait for the infection to start fully before I take anything!?
Its starting to really get to me, I need to sort this out!.
Any advice/personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!.
ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

A midwife once told me to mix tea tree oil with water and use cotton wool to wipe around the area as necessary, or getting into a hot bath with no soap or bubbles and just some drops of tea tree oil in the water and sit in it for a length of time!. What works for some people might not work for others but if your desperate I think you'll prepared to try anything however crazy it sounds!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are always getting thrush, then use the cream from the chemist and make sure you finish a full dose, ie 10 days!.another thing to look at is your clothing!. are you wearing synthetics around your crotch area, is it getting too hot around there!? stockings and thick trousers also cause a lot of heat and I know it was part of my reason for getting thrush often!. make sure you wear cotton underwear and try not to have too much clothing in that area so you do not sweat or get to much heat down there!. the heat causes the bacteria to grow and then you keep getting thrush, try the yogurt its a good cheap medicine!. rub th yogurt onto your vaginal area, the cultures help relieve the infection!. good lukWww@Answer-Health@Com
