like if you were going on hols!? not on pill either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes you can, I did it for my wedding/honeymoon, and a vacation!. My gyno gave me a pill called Norethindrone 5 mg!. Take it 3x's a day, 3 days before your period is due to start!. Then when you're ready to have a period (week later or so) stop taking it, and within 2-7 days you'll get it back!. One thing!.!.!.talk to your doctor about everything, meds you're taking etc!. Do not take for longer than presvribed or needed!. As far stopping it once it started!.!.!.I don't know about that one, but your gyno will know for sure!. You can use an internet search to learn more, nut I would ask your doc any questions you have!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only way for you to possibly stop/delay your period is with a birth control method, such as the Pill!. Also effective is the Depo-Provera shot!. However, Depo-provera will not automatically delay or stop your period!. The shot would need to be taken for a long period of time to affect your cycle!.

Make an appointment with your OB/GYN to discuss the many different methods available to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry the others are right, you only have control over your periods, and therfore your life, if you are on the combined oral contraceptive pill!. I have taken them coninuously for five months because my periods are so bad I desparately need a break!.(This is the first pill which has not failed me and caused break through bleeding or heavy bleeding!.)

There is no danger in taking the pill contiuously, I read research that the guy who invented the pill in the 60's thought that woman would go insane or be mentally unable to cope with the thought of not having a period!.(fear of unwanted pregnancy!?) Who in gods name looks forward to a period unless they are scared they are pregnant, its not called the curse for nothing!. Its just not true- I ask you this-without contraception you would be continually pregant or breast feeding which impedes periods!. How many periods would you realistically have if you had loads of pregnancies!? Its patronising male upper class bull **** and we are all suckered in by it!. Google it and see!.

Here and now we have them every month- this is against nature and why so many woman have problems, think about it!. I have not bled for five months after 20yrs of constant blood loss and feel on top of the world I've never felt so good!. Go on the pill for your hols even if just temporary and enjoy!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

A friend of my mums used to go the doctors if her period was due whilst she was on holiday!. She would be prescribed a tablet to take which she had to take every day until she was back from her hols!.

And I seem to remember being told at school by one of the teachers about it as we were going away camping with the school, I was 14 at the time and not on the pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only way would be for you to start taking the pill then instead of stopping taking it for the week your period is due you would continue it one!. This isn't a recomended way of dealing with it thought!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you need to stop a period for a short time like for having sex, you can put some sponge inside your self, wet and insert!. dont cut the piece to small or you can lose it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Pregnancy!.!.!. or surgery!.

No!. its natural hun, deal with it!. I'm going to join the Marines in a few years, and I'll have to deal with it same as everybody else, 'cept in worse conditions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Delaying your period
Yes, it can be done!.

1) If you're not already using a hormonal birth control method, like the Pill: Your physician can give you a higher dose (higher vs!. the dose found in a birth control pill) progestin (one of the hormones in the Pill) pill!.

2) If you're using a monophasic (all active pills in the pack have the same amount of hormones) combination Pill brand: Take the 21 active pills (these are the pills that contain hormones, and they're all the same color), and discard the 7 placebo pills (the pills without hormones, or "sugar" pills; the placebo pills are also one color, a different color than the active pills!.) Start a new pack right away!. Once you're done with the 21 active pills from the new pack, if you want to have a [fake] period, take the 7 placebo pills!. If you still want to skip the [fake] period, discard the 7 placebo pills, and start new pack!.

3) If you're using a triphasic brand (usually, four different-colored groups of pills, 7 pills in each group), it's a bit more complicated!. Why!? Because it depends on the brand you're using and the amount of estrogen/progestin in each group of pills!. Let's use a common brand, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, as an example!. This brand has 7 white pills, 7 light blue, 7 blue pills (all 21 are active pills), and 7 green pills (placebo pills)!. For best results (to minimize breakthrough bleeding and spotting): Start a pack the normal way, take the 21 active pills, and discard the 7 green ones!. Start a new pack backwards: instead of first taking 7 white pills, take the 7 blue pills, then the 7 light blue ones, and finally, the 7 white ones!. Then, if you want a [fake] period, take the seven green pills!. If you still want to skip, discard the 7 green pills, and start a new pack the usual way, by taking 7 white pills!. Bottom line: make sure you take at least 2 consecutive weeks of same-color pills!.

Two more things you should keep in mind: 2) and 3) work best in the long run (start regimen at least 3 months in advance of time you want to skip period), and spotting is more common during the first 3 months of use!.

If you'd like more info, this book should help: "Take Control of Your Period" by D!. Kroi!. Also your ob/gyn can go into more details!.

If you are on the pill you can skip the last week of your pack!. This will stop you from having your period all together!. But don't do this all the time!. It will probably work if you are on the patch too!. Just don't go a free week!. Put on the week one patch instead!. If you aren't on the pill, I am not aware of anything that will delay your period!. Call your doctor and ask them!. They may be able to help you!. Hope this helps!.

I accidently discovered a tea once that stopped my period in it's tracks!. I was sick soIi collected a bunch of herbs that I thought would help!. I dunno if it works all the time- I've only had it the one time!. But here are the ingrediants in order of how much you put in (from most to least): mint, sage, marajoran, cinnomen and ginger!. i think that's all that went into it!. Anyway, it also does a really good job clearing the sinuses and throat, so good luck to you!.

My mother told me that sucking a lemon can stop your period!.

I kept finding conflicting answers for people skipping periods on triphasic pills!. I discovered the sure-fire way to skip periods on triphasic pills is to put yourself on a biphasic cycle!. So once you decidce you want to skip your period, take the pills to the last day of the second week (or the 14th day) and then start up again with the 1st day's pill!. Your period will not come as long as you do this!. Of course, don't do it for more than 3 months, yehdeh yehdeh!. Also, when you dont want to skip anymore, finish the pack as normal and take a provera for good measure!. All will be well after that!. Good luck!. VC

I have been told that girls that do a lot of exercise don't get their period for a long time!. A friend of mine stopped exercising and got her period that week after not having it for months!. I hope this helps, Good Luck!.

There is a birth control pill to delay your period, that you need only take for a few weeks!. Exercise and stress/worrying also will!.
I took vitamin B12 on the second day of my period, thinking that it would relieve pms symptoms!. But it stopped by period, not completely, but down to just a little bit of spotting!. There was some 16,000% of Vitamin b12!. I don't recommend it, its a very weird and i dont know when i'll get my period next!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
