Tampon help, please! PLEASE! PLEASE!?!

Question: Tampon help, please! PLEASE! PLEASE!!?
I'm 16 and I REALLY NEED to learn how to use these things!. All of my friends can do it, and I feel like a retard!. I've only had my period for a year so like I'm newer to it, but I should be able to do it!.

I have tried Tampax Slim/Slender cardboard, but they don't glide, Tampax Compaks, but I can't grip the applicator well enough, and Playtex Gentle Glide, but they are too fat!. I have to work with these 3 kinds because I leave the country tomorrow and have NO TIME to find something else!.

So!.!.!. I can start getting it in, (the Compaks and the Gentle Glide) but then it just won't go any farther and it hurts! I use the squating position!. And I am relaxed when I do it!. I know I got the right hole 'cause I pull it out and the applicator is all bloody!.

I'm a stupid virgin 'cause no guy would ever wanna have sex with ugly me!.

HELP!!! I can't sit on a plane for 5 hours, then 8 hours, crunching around on a stupid fat maxi pad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok well first of all i am sure you not that ugly if your blonde!. Blondes can be ugly!.
I use the tampax slim/slender carboard!. The hurt like a bieotch to get in!. But you kinda just got to squat down on the floor, and wiggle it till i gets all the way in!.
If you can to that then take sand paper on the tampax compax and sand down the grip area only!. To make it a little easyier to hold!.
Good luck! You need to change your tampon every 5 hours!. Well i need 2!. Especially if you are using the tapmax slims because the hardly hold any blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use O!.B!., because they're actually shorter than Tampax and Playtex!. It also hurts a bit when I push a tampon in, but the pain is worth it, because there's less mess for me to worry about!.

I've answered a few other questions about tampon insertion, so you can look at those if you would like!.

And remember to point it towards your lower back :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK, sounds like you need to get in touch with your mom or an aunt to give some good advice!. Inside each box is an instruction sheet and a second position is the foot elevated on the toilet!.

Most tampons are small enough to slip comfortably into place, but on very rare occasions, someone does have issues!. It would have been better to address these issues before making a long trip by plane!.

If unable to get advice from your mother or an aunt, you may have to suffer with a maxi until you have time to adjust to the tampons!. Wish I could be more help, but, the Internet is not the best place for medical advice as information is usually incomplete!.

Use the PEARL brand tampons (the yellow wrapper ones)!.
They are plastic and smooth!.
Don't use OB!.!.they do not have a plastic aplicator which means you're going to be sticking your finger inside of you to push it it, then have blood on your hand, under your nails, etc!.
they are nasty!.
Try putting on leg up on the toilet lid for putting it in!. Also if you're not very moist inside (not a lot of blood) it will hurt form the dry tampon dragging against your sensitive skin inside!.
AND!.!.!.you're not a virgin because you're ugly!.!.!.you're a virgin because you're well behaved, have morals, goals, beliefs, and the boys you know are too stupid to get with someone so smart and interesting!. Your day will come!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you first start using tampons get a box of Playtex SlimFits!. They are made specifically for young teens and first-time tampon users!. They have a plastic applicater for easier insertion, a rounded tip for comfort, and they are the smallest and most slender tampons on the market (They're about the width of your pinky finger!)!. To insert the tampon, use your dominant hand and put your thumb and middle finger on the finger-grips!. Use your other hand to spread apart the lips/labia of the vulva and hold them open while you're inserting your tampon!. Now get into a comfy position for insertion: you can sit down on the toilet, squat over the toilet, or you can stand up with one leg propped up on the toilet!. Do whichever is easiest for you!. Remember to relax your muscles to make insertion more comfortable and easier!. If you're nervous your muscles will tense up and make insertion really difficult!. When you're ready to insert, you should use the tip of the applicater and hold it at your vaginal opening!. Then, gently push the applicater inside of your vagina while angling the tampon a little bit upwards, and then to the back towards your tailbone!. Keep pushing the tampon in until the finger-grips are right outside of your vagina!. After that, put your pointer finger on the skinny plunger and push it into the bigger applicater which is already inside of your vagina!. Once the skinny plunger is pushed in completely, you can grab the finger-grips and pull out the applicater and toss it in the trashcan!. The string will be left hanging outside of your body, so you can tuck that into your underwear!. You should never feel any pain while using a tampon, when inserted correctly you shouldn't be able to feel the tampon at all!. By the way, you should type your question into the Yahoo Answers search bar BEFORE posting your question - this question has been answered many times before!. Anyways, after using tampons for 2 or 3 years, I strongly recommend switching to a menstrual cup because they are healthier, cheaper, more reliable, stronger protection, no risk of TSS, and are better for our environment!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
