ya there is definetly a problem i read about this in seventeen it said that it has to do something with overactive hormones but anways there is something wrong and going to see a doctor is in her best interest btw tell her to drink lots of water because of all the blood she could be losing!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
no, really!? are you sure this wasnt a slight exaggeration!? not becuase I dont believe you, but because if your periods run for longer then say 3 weeks, you would visit the doctor through the anemia caused by the depleted iron and nutrients!. Let alone the aggrivation of the never ending period!.

she should definitely go to the doctor as this is not normal!. however, it might not be anything really serious!. if she has just gone on the pill or taken the morning after pill, that could affect her periods!. i have a friend who only has two periods a year, which last for around 3 weeks, but she is fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if this is not normal for her or she just started she should go see a doctor!. also she could just have some spotting, aka breakthrough bleeding, where it's not as heavy as your normal period!. but if it's as heavy as it noramlly is she should get checked outWww@Answer-Health@Com

This happens sometimes when girls first begin their period!. It can take anywhere from two months to 2 years to get on a regular schedule!.
