Question: Pregnancy and cats!?!?
my moms freind is pregnant!.!.the freind says that she shouldn't be around cats because her doctor said to stay away from cats or else something bad will happen during pregnancy!. My mom said that something happens with pregnant women and cats!.something like cats give somekind of bacteria or something like that!.anyone ever heard of this or know about this topic!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's true!. It's because of an infection called Toxoplasmosis which is caused by a parasite!. Cats and humans can be affected!. So if the cat is infected the pregnant woman can get it!. The site below explains it thoroughly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've heard this question before once, a long time ago!. It's not the actual cat, it's the litter and droppings of the cat that are dangerous!. Also, if a cat has fleas and ticks it certainly won't do good for the baby!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
