I have sensitive skin and decided to try the Venus!. It was awful! Left me with a very bad rash all over my legs and bikini area like I had never experienced before!.

I use a Mach 3 razor and even though it is not disposable, it works better on my skin than anything I've used!. I try to keep the blades clean and I can usually use it a dozen times or so before I need change the razor head!. I also use a little bit of Vitamin E oil (Burt's Bees) prior to shaving, and then I use conditioner as a shaving cream (any kind usually works for me!. It's incredibly moisturizing!)

Hope this helps!.!.!.!.and don't forget to toss that Venus!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Shaving gel will give you better protection from razor burn than soap or even shaving cream!. I like Skintimate, and they make a gel for sensitive skin; maybe give that a try!. I agree that a new blade is best!. Take your time and shave very gently!. Do it at least a day before you're going to be out in the sun because UV exposure will only intensify the razor burn!. If you're not already, try using a women's aftershave as well!. Or use a good quality moisturizer!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

hint: never use soap!. always use shaving gel and be gentle when shaving!. you don't have to use a brand new razor everytime but also shaving in that area every day will cause more bumps too!. ideally you should wait until it's about a half an inch long to shave!. at least wait every other day if the hair really bothers you!. gives your skin a day to recover!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Be REALLY gentle down there!. Try not to press down very hard!. If you still get razor burn, either use a razor that has been used a few times before so it's a bit more dull, or get a bikini wax, which is painful, but you won't get razor burn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, use shaving cream instead of soap!. I use Skintimate for sensitive skin!. Also, use Aloe Vera gel afterwards, it seems to help me with razor burn!Www@Answer-Health@Com
