Urgent Tampon Questions?!

Question: Urgent Tampon Questions!?
Okay, so I've decided to finally wear tampons for the first time, and I have a few questions!.

1!. I know that the first time wearing them is usually uncomfortable, but how can you tell if a tampon is in wrong of if it's just uncomfortable!?
2!. You can pee without taking it out right!? Since it's a toally different organ!?
3!. The little paper in the box says you can wear it overnight for up to 8 hours, but what if I insert one right before I go to bed, and sleep for like, 10 hours, then remove it as soon as I get up!? Is that safe!?

Anything else you think I should know would probably be helpful too!.

(I'd ask my mom, but there's no way to talk to her privately, and at least on here nobody knows me, really!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes the first time using it can be a bit well scary and overwhelming!. But I assure you its completely comfortable!. The only way you might feel it is if you didn't put it in right!. It usually can go in only one way but sometimes and this is very rarely it will feel uncomfortable but then just push it up till the discomfort is gone!. As far as overnight yes they say no longer than eight hours but if you go a little over that its ok!. Just make sure to give yourself breaks from wearing tampons!. When your having a light period pass on the tampon and opt for a pad!. This can reduce infections down there!. Also peeing with a tampon well I can tell you that when you pee and the tampon is in it will feel wet!. You can leave it in but I usually get a strange feeling and prefer to just change it!. Its all in preference see how you feel after going to the bathroom!. You might decide you prefer to just change!. It all depends on your period and how long the tampon was in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

okay, so first time wearing one, it will be uncomfortable, and as long as you put it in the right "hole" it's most likely not going to be in WRONG!. but it'll take a while to get used to!.
i'm not sure about the whole urinating with it in, i'm about 90% sure that you can't!.
Because of gravity, you'll most likely be okay with it in overnight for 10 hours, because you don't really bleed to much at night!.

Maybe you could e-mail your mom!? tell her to check her e-mail or something!?

good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should start with the smallest type!. and i do not know about comfort and stuff because i never had much of an issue with that!.
1!. and actually the only way a tampon can be in "wrong" is if its not working!.
2!. deffinalty although it might seem uncomfortable for a while!.
3!. 10 hours!? wear a pantyliner =)

I personally hate the type with applicators because they go all long and i feel them alot!. O!.B is a nice and short kind!. If you think its gross to do it yourself, they do have an applicator kind i belive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. I remember my first time was so uncomfortable that I ended up taking it out!. I bet you will too!. Be sure to follow the directions on the box!.
2!. Yes you can pee without taking it out!.
3!. It won't hurt if you sleep 10 hours but just be sure that is the first thing you take care of when you wake up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1 no its fine you dont even feel it make sure that you get tampax brand
2 yes
3 you can wear it then take it out when you wake up, nothing will happenWww@Answer-Health@Com

1) i don't know the answer
2) Change it when you pee
3) wear a pad at night, you could get tss (Toxic Shock Syndrome) {or somthing like that})Www@Answer-Health@Com

the only reason why it would be uncomfortable is if its not in right, and usually its because its not in far enough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First buy OB tampons, they are much smaller and although you hay have to change them more often it's worth it!.

At first it will feel uncomfortable but if you are gentle and let it glide in as you push, it will be right!.

Yes you can urinate while wearing them, it is different organs!.

You can wear a tampon for up to 10 hours but I wouldnt suggest it!. Just to stay clean and healthy, I'd change it every 6 hours whether I really needed to or not!.

Altho many say they are flushable, please don't as it cause problems in the public septic systems!.

Always carry a tampon in your purse even if its not time for you to start!. There is nothing worse than starting unexpectedly and not have one!.

You can swim with a tampon in, it will not show nor leak!.

That's about it!. Good luck, Jackie bWww@Answer-Health@Com

1!. once it's in, and in right, you shouldnt be able to feel it!. i was wearing one yesterday and forgot i was wearing it =p
if it feels uncomfortable, take it out and try another one
2!. try to change it every time you go to the bathroom, you might end up peeing on the string, then you'll want it out, and with a pee-soaked string, i dont think you'd want to touch it lol
3!. dont wear it to sleep!. try wearing a tampon only when you're going out, at school, work etc!. once you're home, just use a pad!. my mom always said to wear a pad when sleeping cuz then the blood wont stay inside you and your period will end faster!. i dont know if thats true, but i listen to my mom lol, and sleeping with a tampon in, you might get TSS more easily!.!.!.!.so for safer reasons, use a pad when sleeping :)
hope i helped^-^
oh and when wearing a tampon, just in case, wear a pantyliner too just so it wont leak on to your underwear :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

it can't really be in "wrong" because it's just a cavern in there, if the string is outside then it is probably in right!. If you haven't been using tampons for a long time it might just be uncomfortable, or maybe to big for you (try light or junior ones)!. If it is bugging you it might just be sitting in a weird way, so take it out and try again with a new one!.
You can pee with it in, because pee comes out of an entirely different hole!. You'll probably end up peeing on the string, however!.
I wouldn't recommend wearing a tampon through the night!. My doctor suggested not wearing them longer than 4 hours without changing them!. They are good place for bacteria to grow (wet and warm) and there is the risk of toxic shock syndrome!. also, the cotton most popular brand tampons are made of were grown with pesticides and this can remain in the cotton!. Pads are probably best for bed although some are uncomfortable there is a huge variety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can definatly tell if a tampon is in crooked!. Sometimes it hurts when you sit down or something!. Trust me you can tell!. Yes you can pee with the tampon in!. I wouldn't wear a tampon at night!. The first time I did overnight it said 8 hours and I slept about 8 hrs and it leaked so if I were you I wear a pad!. You shouldn't leave a tampon in for more than 8 hrs!. you could get toxic shock syndrome or something like that!. Just to let you know It is NORMAL when you take it out for it to feel like a suction cup!. Um I think that's all I know that's important!.

Hope I helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com

1!. If you don't push the tampon in far enough you will know because it will hurt and feel like you can't sit down comfortably!. When inserted properly, it will be far enough inside so that all you see is the string hanging down and you won't even feel that its there!.

2!. Yes, you can pee w/the tampon in!.

3!. Up to 8 hrs is an estimate!. If you bleed heavily you will need to change it more often and when you are used to wearing them you will be able to tell if you need to change it!. If you see brownish blood on the string it definitely needs to be changed!.

I can tell you one thing that might be helpful - don't try to change it too soon because it will be dry and hard to pull out!. When it is full, it slides down and is easily removed!. When it is still dry, it seems you have to tug harder to remove it!. And don't forget that it's in there and try to put another one in!Www@Answer-Health@Com
