Answers:
an ob/gyn, these doctors see patients for yearly checkups and when you so decide to have kids they will be your ob doctor!. Right now you will just use them for the gyn portion of their skills!. Midwifes are an alternative to hospital planned childbirth they do birthing without medicine or drugs and use alternative methods such as water births, swing birth etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You would probably want to go to an Ob/gyn!.
Gynecology is a doctor who specializes in women!. (usually the reproductive organs)
Obstetrics is about fertility, pregnancy and childbirth
Midwives only deal with pregnant females and deal with delivering the baby!.
YOu would probably want to see an ob/gyn!. They can deal with your medical "female" issues!. Then you can continue to see them once you decide to have children!. If you only go to a gynecologist, you would have to find an ob/gyn when you got pregnant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As my ID explains, I am a midwife to be--in other words, I am a midwifery student and have been a nurse for 20 years!. I would like to clear up a little bit of confusion in some of the answers that you have received!.
Midwives do see women for pregnancy, and at delivery do encourage women who do not wish to use epidurals, pain medications, or have a birth with alot of interventions medically!. However, midwives can also see women for yearly health exams, and can and do prescribe birth control!. Go to www!.acnm!.org and there is a link there that will assist you in finding a midwife in your area!.
Going to OB/GYN doctors is fine, but usually midwives spend more time with their patients, and really listen--which is sometimes lacking in an MD who is seeing 50 patients per day!.
I hope this helps! Midwives rock!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
