Doctors can't fix my UTI, it's affecting my life?!
Question: Doctors can't fix my UTI, it's affecting my life!?
It's been over 2 years, every few months i get urinary tract infection, approximately 6 times+ a year!. I've seriously taken ALL precautions and do everything the doctors tell me to do, i even had a cystoscopy done!. I'm only 22, i don't know why this is happening to me!. I've seen specialists, urologists and none of them can give me a proper answer but all the same 'take precautions'!.
Though, with UTI I feel it's affecting my sex life with my partner!. Before i met him i've never had such a problem, all the doctors tell me that's the change in my life that caused UTI!. But it's been 2 years and it hasn't gone away!. Now i don't enjoy sex, in fact I'm afraid of it because I'm scared to get bacteria and have to go through the whole UTI process again!. i get blood in my urine about 2hours after first symptom appears and it really kills!. i know i shouldn't let it affect me psychologically, but it is!. can someone please give me some advice!?

These things will work!. I had the same problem throughout my 20's!. It is related to sex and friction!.
1!. Next infection, take your antibiotics!.
2!. Ask doctor to put you on Macrodantin provalactically!. (one pill every time you have sex)!.!.!.it prevents infections that are recurrent!.
3!. Acidify your diet!. Stop with the dairy and sugars, eat more greens, cranberry juice, and lots and lots of water!.
4!. Use better or start using lubricant!.
IT will work!. Did for me!.
Oh yeah, and go to the pharmacy and by CYSTEX or pyridium (pharmacist will know the brand names around right now)!.!.!.it prevents the sheer misery if you do have a bit of cystitis!.!.!.

2!.If you are sure you get blood in the urine every time you get the UTI, it may not be just an infection! You might have to repeat cystoscopy and also go through other tests to see if there is problem even beyond the bladder!( cystoscopy can view only upto bladder and doesnt view things beyond that like the ureters which are tubes connecting the kidney to the bladder, and the kidneys them selves)!.Your problem can be any where from the kidneys to the urethra( where you urinate from)!.
3!.You can lead your sex life normally and of course take more care( more clean!), since your problem may not just be the infection!.
4!.How about urine cultures! Please get the culture and sensitivity done for both blood and urine if not done already!All this is to rule out infection!

Firstly if it has only started with your partner it maybe that his personal hygiene may be poor!. Women due to having a small distance from the urethra to the bladder allows for bacteria to cause UTI!. Maybe he needs to have a bath/shower before sex!. Secondly drink plenty of water to flush the bladder out!. Go to a health food store and buy cranberry capsules (great for UTI's)!. Sorry to say it again but the source of the infection is most likely your partner!. Another thing is that after sex all women should go to the toilet and pass urine, this can flush the germs back out before they get far!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
