Has my hymen been broken or is it still in tact?!?!? PLEASE NEED HELP (Girls onl!

Question: Has my hymen been broken or is it still in tact!?!!?!!? PLEASE NEED HELP (Girls only)!?
Ok I'm 15 and I'm a virgin and one day I decided to try using a tampon (except, I wasn't even on my period yet- I wanted make sure that I knew how to use it just in case I got my period and didn't know how to use it at all) !. I tried putting in this tampon and it was REALLY hurting and it made me feel really dry and such and it was also stuck at one point and it didn't even go in completely, because some of it was still poking out!.

Then after about 4 minutes of discomfort, I tried to pull this thing out and it was soooooo hard and it took a while!. I will NEVER try these things again!!!!

So, does this prove that I still have my hymen!? I need to know--I know that this all sounds wierd, but I usually just use pads!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't prove whether or not your hymen is intact!. The reason is was so hard going in and out, and why it felt so dry, is because there was no liquid there to make it slide easier!. But please DON'T think I am encouraging you to give them another shot! Tampons are horrible for many other reasons, like all the chemicals that are in them!. Do you really want to be putting chemicals that have been linked to endometriosis and infertilty directly into your reproductive system!?

If you really want something that goes inside, try a menstrual cup (reusable cup that goes inside, made of silicon or natural rubber)!. They can be tricky to get the hang of, but are WAAAYYYY better!. One brand you can look at is DivaCup!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A tampon should really go through a hole inside the hymen (it's gotta be there for the menstrual blood to come through)!.

What you're describing is just normal; you were nervous so you were really squeezing hard and not letting anything come through!.

You might still have your hymen; but this doesn't really prove it, sorry!Www@Answer-Health@Com

As you were 'dry' (no blood, no wetness) it would be hard to get what is a small tube of hardpacked cotton up yourself!. If you realy wnat to try a tampon, wait untill you have your period so you have some help to get one in yourself!. Tampon, fingers or guy parts, they can hurt if you do it dry!. (That is why store sell lube, and woman get wet when they are excited)!.

As for your hymen, you can use tampon and still be intact!. If you didn't feel a sharp pain (kind of like geting a bad cut from falling, but inside of you) or have some blood on the tampon, then you most likely are still intact!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no it does not prove anything except only use a tampon on your period!.!.!. that is why you felt dry - the blood needs to be there to ''lube'' the tampon in!.
Also on a note, using tampons when they are not needed is dangerous, not that I am having a go, i did the same at your age but then I was told all about the dangers!. Visit the link for more info !.!. but please dont let it stop you using tampons carefully and at the correct time!!
Hope that helps a bit xWww@Answer-Health@Com
