In China females are second class citizens and are treated as such!. It is a shame to the family to have girls!. Although it is not right it is practiced!.
Genital mutilation is also common in other areas and while again not right, it is the way that the culture is raised and they believe it is "normal"!.

They see their brothers, dads, husbands and boyfriends promoting this silly idea that there is only ONE IDEAL!. In countries like China and Africa women do not JUST let these atrocities happen, they are virtually given no choice!. Abuse is forced upon these women!. So how is it that you come to the absurd conclusion that they like the abuse when they simply have no choice nor voice in the matter!?!? As for plastic surgery in America, it is more about personal choice!. You might personally find it offensive but that is your personal opinion!.
