Birth control / bleeding / endometriosis?!

Question: Birth control / bleeding / endometriosis!?
In January, I went to see my gynocologist to see about a new type of birth control because I've always had such horrible cramps!. He told me there was a chance that I have endometriosis!. He put on me on the Ortho Evra patch & told me to take it continuously for 6 months, not skipping the week for a period!. So I was supposed to go 6 months with no period!. The first two months were fine, then I started bleeding & have been bleeding for the past two or three months!. It's not as heavy as a regular period, but heavier than normal spotting!. I just went back to the gynocologist to ask if they could go ahead and do the surgery to see if I had endometriosis!. He said he wants to wait & switched me to the Nuva Ring & again, wants me to take it continuously & not allow myself to have a period!. I switched to it today & am still bleeding!. I don't see how this is helping any!. Does anyone know anything about this &/or what I should do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes - they can treat endometriosis through laparoscopy (keyhole surgery)!. They do burn away endometriosis!.
My doctor thought I had endometriosis so I had a laparoscopy, I I ended up having inflammation in my pelvis (which he burnt away, no more problems)!. It's worth getting checked out, especially if you have tried other birth control with no relief!.
If you feel you aren't getting the answers you need, or you want to go ahead with the surgery, find another doctor who will listen to you!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
