Question: Anyone know why women get in sync with their periods!?
I've found this to very often be the case with my family and friends!. We all get it around the same time! Any research on why this is!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's because of Pheromones, which are a chemical (and type of hormone) that triggers a natural behavior response in another member of the same species (ie: two women!.!.!.)
When two or more women spend a lot of time together, your body responds to the Pheromones from other women!.
When I lived with my roomate, our periods were very different (hers in the beginning of the month, mine in the middle!.!.!.) after about 4 months or so, they were exactly the same!. The same thing happened again when I moved back in with my Mom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's called the McClintock Effect (not sure how it's spelt though) and it is, as people have said, to do with pheramones!. Some people believe it was to synchronise ovulation so when all the males came back from hunting, all the females would be in synch with the alpha female!. The synchronise menstruation is a biproduct of this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yeah!.!.!.if you live around women, you're likely to get your periods around the same time!. I read this in a magazine once!.!.!.it trails back to anceint times or something!.!.!.if a man wanted to mate!.!.!.he could do it with ALL the women around the same time so he could get them ALL pregnant!. It's because there is a hormonal smell (not like a bad smell that you notice) that can trigger your body to think it's time to have you period!. This is very common in households with many women or in dorms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well, when you have a bunch of friends that were ovulating at the same time, you start to ovulate as well because your body senses it and thinks its time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
by having separate period times a male could end up not breeding with a particular female for not being fertile at that time but if the women get in sync means another female won't have that advantage over themWww@Answer-Health@Com
