The Hymen is the thin fold of membrane surrounding the vaginal opening!. The hymen has a central perforation that is usually stretched or torn during your first sexual intercourse!. Once torn it becomes an irregular ring of tissue around the vaginal opening!. You are not stupid and I didn't really know until I was getting married and reading a book to help me prepare!. its this layer thing inside of you, u know that expression "popped your cherry" basically when u hav sex for the first time, the hymen will break and thats the poppin of the cherry basically, and normally when u break that there will be blood :S but yeah basically its just a thin layer of something way up inside that area u kno!? lolWww@Answer-Health@Com
You are not stupid!. Hymen is a layer/film of cells located just barely inside your vagina!. It used to be said it would break only during sex and the female would bleed a bit!.
