You still need tampons sweetie, but just keep on trying to use the tampons they are so much more hygenic than pads, yes still use a pad until you have got the right absorbancy!.

The tampons come in all different sizes like lites regular super and super plus and that is if you are really heavy like me if your not that heavy then just go for the super or the regular!.

When your starting to use a tampon just relax and then open the wrapper and then you will be looking at 2 tubes pull the tube from the first one until the string is inside the inner tube and then slide it into your vagina and then the inner tube just push that into the outer casing and then pull both tubes out and then dispose of them!.

When you go into the pool always use a higher absorbancy and then put a pad on just to make sure you don't leak in the pool, yes your period does stop while your in the pool but restarts again once you get out so change your tampon as soon as you get out of the pool!.

You must always change your tampoon either four our to 8 hours that is the max you can leave it in for!.

Good Luck hope this helps sweetie, and enjoy your holls!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should wear a tampon if you are going in the water!. You will still have a flow and that could be embarassing!. Don't be afraid of tampons!. I know it's scary the first time, just follow the directions!. Make sure you take it out or change it after 8 hours!. And if it starts to feels uncomfortable or heavy (you shouldn't really feel it, though your first time wearing one you will probably be aware of it) then change it out!. Don't let it ruin your vacation!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, your friend is wrong!. You don't stop bleeding; the blood is washed away so you don't notice it!. If you are on your period without protection and in a pool, people will start to notice!.

Tampons are your only option, short of getting on birth control pills (and that's really not a viable option for you)!. Talk to your mom or another trusted adult for help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No it has happened to me in a pool before i was so embaraced,,,you really should try tampons they dont hurt and the best brand to try is lil lets,, they expand width ways instead of length to prevent leakage!.

Or sometimes you are in the pool and nothing comes out till you get OUT of the water and that would be even worse so try tampons and if you dont fancy them then i dont no what else to suggest

i am 14 and started my periods when i was 9 i have always used tampons so i dont think it would hurt to try them,, then you will be able to enjoy your holidayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Tampax Pearl Lites are excellent for first timers!.

Tampons or moon/diva cups are a MUST if you are swimming, as you will contaminate the pool with your blood if you do not wear one!.

I've worn them from age 11 to age 32 without any problems whatsoever, I prefer tampons over pads any day!.

You WILL bleed into the water, it does NOT stop nor does it slow down, it only LOOKS like it does!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont worry, i got mine the day before a weekend school trip and managed!. get the aplicator tampons, they are much easier to use when your on the go!. by a packtes and make sure your comfortable using them, you dont want to find you cant use them!.
and yes you dont bleed when your in the water but you do as soon as you get out!. just try and get used to using tampons, believ me they are so much easier than pads!.
just relax and you will get used to it eventually!.
