I have PCOS and dont have a period every month!.If I go 3 months my GYN gives me Provera to make me start!.You dont want to go a long time with no period!.!.!.your body needs to 'clean it out'!. The lining in the uterus will build up and its a breeding ground for cancer!.!.!.!.

Working out and losing weight can actually cause your period to go away!. Otherwise, the only way to get your period is a certain drug that your doctor would have to prescribe!. I can't remember the name of it but it makes you ovulate!. Unfortunately with the PCOS you will be irregular and may not get your period for a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Amenorrhea can be caused by over excising and sudden weight loss, which probably happened to you a year and a half ago!. Stop exercising and gain some healthy weight! This will regulate your body once again!. Give it some time and just work on being a healthy weight for your age and height!. Forget about being super skinny or the pictures you see on magazine/TV, remember everybody's body is different and is regulated differently!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
