your packet should tell you!. but depending on what kind you have you should have 28 of one color and then 7 of another i believe!. the 28 are active pills and the 7 are inactive pills or sugar pills these pills are to activate your period usually you'll start on the second pill of your inactive pills and then stop on the second or third of your active pills of your new packWww@Answer-Health@Com
i know a lot of people take them just to keep themselves in the habit of doing it (and if you are very habitual about this kind of stuff I would so you don't mess things up in the future)!.
I personally don't take them because it is just a placebo pill and it always starts dissolving in my mouth real quick and it tastes funny!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You technically do not have to take the blue pills - they are nothing but sugar pills!. But, many pill will because it keeps them on a schedule and in the habit of taking their pill every day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you take the 3 weeks of pills then the last week is when you have your period, you wait 7 days (either taking the placebo sugar pills or not) then start your next pack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
