Iv been on the pill (microlyte) for the past 2 years and am now takn a break, back to good old condoms which i dont like or trust(im witha long term partner)
My question is, what form of birth control do u use!?

In the last 8 years, I have been on the pill (Yasmin), the shot (Depo-Provera), and have an IUD (Mirena)!.
I prefer the shot and the IUD most because I am not really good at taking the pills consistently!. I would always forget to take it and have to double up!. I did not feel safe doing that as I was always paranoid that it would not work because I kept missing pills!.
With the Depo, the only thing that I had a problem with was the fact that it was very hard for me to lose weight!. I did not really have any other side effects other than that!. I didn't really gain any weight with the Depo but noticed that it was hard to lose weight!.
The only complaint that I have with the IUD is the light spotting that lasts a few days a month for me!.
If I had to choose, I would go with the IUD because it can last 5 years!. If you wish to get pregnant, you can always remove the IUD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

first of all, You didn't say if you were married, if your not, just stop having sex, and dont worry about birth control, you shouldn't be having sex until your actually married,

im not on it now but i used the ring nuve ring its called it was great i tried tons before i found this one!. i didnt gain any weight my skin looked great no side effects what so ever i got headaches with the pill!. also its easy to use and you always know exaclty when you are going to start you can have sex with it in and he cant feel it at all and if you dont like that you cxan take it out for a few hours at atime also!. also its a once a month thing so you dont have to worry about forgetting and you do it yourself so your doctor is not all up in there and you can stop easy if you choose to and its not invasive like an iud and not per like being snipped!. once i got on it like four of my friends did and they all loved it!. none have gotten pregnant on it unlike the shot or pill good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's good for 5 years and is more reliable than the pill! If you want to have children, it can just be removed and there's no "waiting" period before all the hormones are out of your system!.

A condom worked for me > now i do not have to worry about them< but anything you introduce to you body that is a chemial is going to have some type of side effect!. When I use the pill it changed my chemistry!. I did not like to be on them but it was something I chose for that time of my life!. A woman has a chance of getting pregnant even though she uses birth control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
there is that one form, i'm not sure what it is called, but its where they place that "thing" (sorry i dont know the names or terms of it) inside you and it keeps you from getting pregnant for up to five years!. you can have it removed if you decide to try to get pregnant!. it actually causes some people to lose a few pounds!. not a lot though!. in the beginning, cramping can happen but after your body adjusts, its all good, and your period will stop!. My friend has it and loves it!. in the beginning she was annoyed b/c of cramps but now she loves it better than pills or anything like that! good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

She's been asking her friends and she's about to go ask her doctor about using the pill, and just waying up the potential side effects of her using the pill and also the marginally added risk of using a condom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have a copper IUD, but I am going to switch to Mirena soon!. I can't take BCP's because they raise my blood pressure too much!. I tried depo, but gained weight, and had terrible mood swings!. So I decided to go off hormones!. The IUD is great, but you do get heavier flows!. The mirena IUD gives the benefits of the pill, without the side effects of the pill!.

Get your guy to get a vasectomy - fool proof, not one single side effect at all!. Mine did - best choice we ever made!. He is THRILLED with it - no pain, no side effects, sex is better than ever b/c we don't have to worry with condoms or birth control pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes ask your doctor about the pill with the lowest estrogen level!. My GF is on that one and she is fine !. Because of the low estrogen there are little to no side effects!. You might end up spending a little more but in the end it is soo worth it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i used the diafgram it is bit tricky but you don't get any side affects if you go tho your docs they will tell you what the best one for you would be or like that guy no sex but what fun would that be as for the pill you would have to try lot of them to find out what one works the best for you i wouldn't bother i would go back on the one you had before if it was OK the IUD i did int think you could get that unless you have had a kid i had it and it was no use for me 4 children later my husband got the snip now i have no side effects the best one is the cap (diafram) but some times you can be allergic to the sperm aside gives you thrush but there is different ones to chose fromWww@Answer-Health@Com
