Can any doctors or knowledgeable people please answer this?!

Question: Can any doctors or knowledgeable people please answer this!?
For about two months now, I have been having off and on qualms of discomfort in the back of my vagina!. It is a weird fullness/swollen feeling, and it comes and goes weekly, which inclines me to believe that it is hormones that are causing my nerves on the skin to act weirdly!. I will be 13 in 5 days, and I have not gotten my period yet, though many people (Including doctors) say I am about to!. I have had ultrasounds, urinary tests, and exams, but I can't seem to figure out what is causing this pain!. The only thing I can think of is hormones!. It started out only hurting when I was lying flat, then to sitting down, then to all the time, and it comes and goes!. It has also made me become stressed and moody!.

What could be causing this!? I am an active girl, a runner, so it is not from inactivity!. My grandma and girlscout leader have had this (my girlscout leader for 6 months, my grandma for 2 weeks!.) They said it went away after getting their first period!. Am I going to get my period soon!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
This can be caused by blood flow through the vaginal area from your impending menstrual period!.

You are a runner - that is good!.

Exercise decreases the length and severity of periods!.

Have you tried using Aleve!? That medicine is particularly good at stopping the effect of "prostacycline" as it acts on the uterus and vaginal area - and could decrease or stop this sensation!.

Since your ultrasounds and exams have been normal - there is little chance for a serious problem!.

I have seen many patients with similar symptoms!.

If my advice above did not work - you may also be a candidate for birth control pills (not for birth control - but to decrease the effect of hormones on your system - these often work when nothing else does)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like your body is prepping for your period!. Hormones can be nasty creatures sometimes <PMS sucks>!. I know all the tests were normal and your grandma had it, making it more likely for you to have it, so it doesn't sound like anything to worry about!. If it persists or becomes increasing uncomfortable tell your parents/grandma!. They will make sure you are taken care of!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know how to answer your question!.

As an English teacher, however, I want to commend you on your excellent grammar skills!. Your post is so legible - I'm impressed!. Some adults can't even articulate the way you do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The spotting and thick red discharge are your period!. Sometimes when you first start having them they can last longer than the average 5-7 days!. You can get them more frequently than 28 days or longer spans between them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it sounds as if you are on the verge of having your period!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
