Question: I take the Depo shot and I get depressed and angry is it normal!?
It is my first time and I am always in a Bad mood, also i get really depressed and have suicidal toughts I have been married for 6 months now and I am 18 years old about to be 19, I am also getting this icky Smell in my Vagina is it normal!?

The depression and mood swings are side effects of the shot and most other Birthcontrols!. Some peoples body gets used to the change and will be fine after about the 3rd shot!. some people's bodys dont get used to it and the side effects just get worse!. The bad thing with the shot is once you get it you have to wait it out for those 3 months!. Your doc is going to tell you to wait it out for a few more rounds to see how your body reacts!. The smell could be from the shot, one of the ways it helps prevent pregnancy is by changing the thickness of the mucus so that the sperm cannot get to the egg!. If it gets worse or bothers you to much call your doc and see if he has any suggetions!. Maybe try some feminin spray or powder to help itWww@Answer-Health@Com
Not sure about the hole smell thing, could be due to depo, im on depo the first 3 months is the hardest to get through believe me! I was on depo for 2 years and then switched to the nuva ring and am back on the shot (it seems to work better for me) But the first 3 months I was very irritable at stupid things, depressed a lot, and angry!. Try getting outdoors, although I spent a couple weekends in bed wishing my boyfriend would leave, its better to get out and do things to try to up your mood! I am on my 3rd shot now, and have my emotions under control!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Talk to your doctor about it!. Suicidal thoughts should be taken seriously!.
I have a friend who can not take the shot because of the side effects she gets (unclear if they are the same as yours but I know she had a lot of emotional reactions to it) so she now uses other methods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i was on that for a year but never smelled nothing!. you'll bleed, thats a promise!!
