Question: Would 12 days of being on Progesterone hurt me physically in any way!?
My Dr!. put me on 12 days of progesterone to shrink a very large ovarian cyst!. I'm wondering if there will be any side effects!. I'm on day 2, and besides being hungry, I'm feeling pretty good for a change!!

This is a steroid,all steroids have side effects!.I've been on and off steroids for different reasons through out my life(female problems,asthma,ect!.!.!.)I ended up being one of the ones who got affected!.I'm loosing my eyesight now!.My eye doctor told me that steroids can lead to glaucoma(which I now have uncontrolled glaucoma),meaning I'm going blind in the next few years!.I'm presently seeing20/75 and I need to go back again soon!.(I've lost more vision)I would advise you to pay attention to your eyes also,not just the obvious side effects of meds!.Talk to your doctor about this side effects!.I refuse steroids now unless I have no choice because of my life or death with my breathing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just wondering if your a mother or wanting to have more children!? If not, I just had an endometrial ablation, where they burn the inside of your uterus to the muscle!.!.!.No more bleeding! I was on progesterone for 5 days at a time more than once, and that was about 7 years ago!.!.no ill effects here!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
