Vaginas do smell!. Some smell stronger than others!. The bottom line is that if you are scared you should go to your doctor!.

That said!. If there are no other symptoms (pain, itching, burning) and your discharge is clear, milky, or *slightly* yellowish (especially if it's dry and you're seeing it on your underwear) it is probably nothing to worry about!.

When you shower, it is not necessary to use soap on the "inside" parts of your vagina (anything inside the large, outer lips)!. You can just rinse it well with warm water!. The Vagina is self-cleaning, so using soap or douches or "feminine deoderant" can actually upset the balance of good bacteria and give you a yeast infection, or make it smell worse!. Being sweaty or overly wet can also contribute!. Wearing looser fitting clothing on your bottom half, and cotton panties (they breathe better than shiny silky fabrics) can help "air out" your vagina, which might help with the smell!.

I'm not sure how old you are, but if you have just started, or are getting ready to start your period, your body is going through hormonal changes that may change the amount of discharge or odor from your vagina!.

Again, if you're scared or unsure, or you have any kind of pain or green, grey or clumpy white discharge, go see your doctor because it's possible you have an infection!.

Good luck hon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it smells like rotten eggs, then it is probably a yeast infection!. If it smells like fish, then it is probably a vaginal infection!. Go to the doctor and have them check it out for you!. If it turns out to be one or the other, they will give you cream or medicine of some type to treat it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
