First of all, I think it's really rude for the other answerer to tell you to calm down!. I think your questions are very valid!. The time after the return to fertility is very confusing, frankly!. And since you baby is still young and is still probably breastfeeding frequently, it is going to take time for your body to return to normal!.

The short luteal phase is very common after the return to fertility!. They should lengthen over time!. Good nutrition is key here, as well as trying your best to take care of yourself with adequate sleep and exercise!. Normally I would see cycles straighten out again by the 3-4th postpartum cycle!. Since it sounds like you are not seeing improvement, you might think about consulting the Marilyn Shannon book: "Fertility, Cycles & Nutrition" to see if some vitamin supplements might help make things more clear!.

Without seeing your full charts, it is difficult to advise you on what is happening!. Last cycle when you had what seemed to be a gear up towards ovulation, but then backed down again - did you have any illness or stress around that time!? Was your baby nursing more often those days!? Sometimes I see women have crazy cycles when their babies decide to nurse more often than normal!.

For this cycle, if you have had a dry-up since day 17 and the day 19 temperature is the only odd low one of the bunch, then I would disregard the day 19 temperature, just ignore it, and see if you have a thermal shift!. Sometimes you can get one odd temperature for whatever reason, maybe it was a little colder in your bedroom that day or whatever!.

The best advice I can give you is to stay in contact with your NFP teacher and give him/her your complete charts so the teacher can see the full picture and can answer your questions!. It's hard to interpret everything without being able to see the charts first hand, but from what I am hearing, things sound about normal for postpartum cycles!. :( I know that is frustrating, but things **will** get better, have patience! Take good care of yourself and that should help!.

Best of luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow, you are paranoid!
calm down! if you follow your cycle that closely, and things are off, call your doctor, and ask to be seen!.
You may have a small infection that is throwing off your temp btw!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
