i dont understand the 28 days and the 2 times a month and everything!. i dont get it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Okay!. I used to be a bit confused when I was younger, but it's great when you can fully understand your body!.

*1st day you see blood : You begin counting this day!. This is considered the begining of your mentrual cycle!. The amount of days you actually bleed may be characterisic of your body and it varies from woman to woman (4 -7 days), BUT, it has nothing to do with anything relating to counting or predicting your cycle!. The only thing that is important is the day you start!.

*Half way through your cycle: Ovulation!. If your cycle is 28 days (half of 28 is 14, so the fourteeth day!. For example, if your cycle is 32 days, then half of 32 is 16, so the 16th day), then you are most fertile (ready to get pregnant) ROUGHLY around this day, it isn't necessarily always clockwork!. You will notice that nearing this day your discharge will increase and probably change in texture!. Some women, including myself, even experience mild cramps as the egg is being released from the ovary!. Again, you're most fertile at this time, so if you don't want a baby and you are sexually active - - - this is the time to definitely abstain!.
(Regarding twice a month, it is rare that women ovulate more than once each month!. If so, then they would have a period every two weeks or something similar to that!. This is rare but possible!. To find out, talk to your doctor)

*When you bleed again (28 days): Now!. You aren't necessarily a 28 day woman!. 28 days is the global average that the textbooks say, but this doesn't have to relate directly to you!. To find out how your body works, use a calendar and count the days between the day you first bled and the day your following period started!. Then chart it again the following month!. Then the following month!. You should see a pattern!. It can be anywhere from 26 - 45 days per cycle, so it's up to you to find out!. If you only just got your first period recently, well then it's normal for your body to be irregular, and even skip several periods at a time!. That will stabilize in a few months to a couple years!.

I hope this helped some and cleared it up a bit for you!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A regular cycle is usually about every 28 days!. We call it monthly because in ancient days a month WAS 28 days!. Occasionally women with regular periods may start twice within the same month!. This is something that happens often with young women who have just begun having periods because it takes 1 to 3 years for the body to get a set cycle!. Women with irregular periods who have been menstruating for years have erratic or strangely spaced cycles!.

(That darned Caesar changed the calendar system and basically threw women into a time warp for eternity ;-)

The information at the site listed below should be very helpful!. You may still have questions!. If so, you should probably talk with your mother or an older sister who can give you information on their cycles and share helpful tips with you!. A lot of times menstrual cycle of daughters are much like their mom's!.

Tip: If you body is changing and you think you may start having periods soon, just remember to keep a pad or two with you in your purse or backpack in case of emergency away from home!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay well it's really easy!. Say you started your period today!. 2moro, you count on a calendar 28 days, and your next period would be on the 28th day!. Sometimes your period happens two times a month, but it usually is 1 time a month!. Hope this helps a little! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
