Question: What should i do if i have been on my period for 5 months none stop bleeding because of a depo shot!?
well i took the shot in sept!.26,2007 and i didn't go back !.!.!.!.now i know there is side affects but this aint normal!.!.!.i mean i have been bleeding none stop since the shot and that is really making me worrie and i was wondering when wil this ever stop! i know that it takes 6 to 8 moths to clear out of your system but bleeding like this is crazi so anybody out there can you help me on what should i do i am 17 years old and scared!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had the same problem with both the shot and the pill!. I went to emergency room and they said that my body had a kind of allergic reaction to birth control due to the hormone levels in it!. and I was to immediatly stop any kind of birth control!. I was on it for ovarian cysts!. They have a medication to stop the bleeding!. My bleeding got so bad that i started hemorraging and was passing out!. My advice to you is to go see your doctor and see if you can get that medicine!. I am not sure what the name of it is!. Now they have alot of pills that have a much lower hormone level!. a diary as the amount, do you have any pains, where they are
how often, etc!.!? You need to go see a doctor, which would
best if you could go back to the one who gave the shot!. Then
you could always go to another doctor after this was taken

As far as I understand - it is not possible to bleed for that extended amount of time!. You would bleed to death!.

I was on depo for 2 years!.!.!.!.!. I bled constantly on it!.!.!.!. my doc told me that some people just react to it differently!.!.!.!. I would bleed hevily then spot but was constantly bleeding!.!.!. I stopped getting the shot because I ended up preg while I was on the shot!.!.!.!. Good Luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
