Question: I accidentally put in a new tampon without taking out the old one am i going to get sick!?!.!.!.!?
I put in a tampon around 4:30, then around 8:30 when i planned on changing it, i was at work and in a rush and i guess i forgot to take the first one out and put in another one while the first one was still in there!. At 12:30midnight, i took out my tampon and noticed that i still had the other one in!.!.!.!. Am i going to get sick because of having two in at the same time or the fact one was in from 430 to 1230!?!? im really worried!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you won't!. As long as you did notice it and took it out!. You'll should be fine!.

A woman's body will actually gradually push it out if left in without another obstruction, like another tampon!. But there have been some cases that did not happen and the doctor had to remove it!. They give them antibiotics to kill any bacteria that may have grown!. Moist, dark and warm places idea for bacteria!. Especially if you forget one for days!.
If you notice a discharged or smell a few days after your cycle has ended try a vinegar and filtered water douche, if that doesn't work don't be afraid to go to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tampons should be changed every 8 hours to prevent the remote possibility of toxic shock syndrome!. This is where the bacteria build up in the vagina and the person can become acutely ill!. These bacteria do not need much oxygen and the tampon actually helps them out!. So remove the old one and you will be okay!. Some women use two and this is okay!. I wouldn't worry too much hey!. 8hrs is't that long!. I wouldn't advise using 2 at once, but it shouldn't cause any problems!.

No worries, I have done the same thing a couple times when I was totally stressed out and super busy!. I left it in about the same time as you did!. As long as you feel fine (no fever, nausea), you don't have to worry!Www@Answer-Health@Com
