How flexible are certain birth control rules?!

Question: How flexible are certain birth control rules!?
I just started the Yaz pill today!. I was reading through the little pamphlet thingy that comes with the pill packet, and my question is this:

It says to ALWAYS take your pill at the same time of day, always in EXACTLY 24-hour periods!. But I work EARLY mornings, and normally take my regular meds at 4 AM, when I leave for work!. I was planning on taking my Pill at the same time, so it'll be easy to remember!. But on the weekends, I sure as heck am not getting up at 4 AM just to take it!. I usually get up around 8-9, and that's when I get my meds!.

Is this okay!? Is the 24-hour rule supposed to be for maximum effectiveness or because of side effects, or is it just to make it easier to remember!? Am I going to cause myself problems by taking it later on the weekends!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's more for having a steady release of hormones starting at a set time of day, for consistency!. Being 4 hrs late 2 days a week isn't going to alter the effectiveness to a degree where you should be worried about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well they say it really should be around the same time but with in two hours i think would be the max!. if you have irregular periods this is crucial, also i suggest take it before bed i have been on many kinds and i have a sensitive stomach and they would upset my stomach when i didn't eat before i took it plus you probably go to bed around the same time and you will be up already on the weekendsWww@Answer-Health@Com
