The principle of double effect could possibly be applied here!.

If you are doing something that could possibly have a bad effect and a good effect you could possibly do it, provided you desire only the good effect!.

Beyond that, there are other guidelines which include the likelihood of effectiveness, the moral neutrality of the act (taking medicine is ok, generally speaking), possibilities of other actions which have no bad effects, etc!.!.!.

One case that may be morally ok to take the pill is the treatment of the symptoms of endometriosis!.

In the case of acne prevention, I'd have to believe that there is a method drug for this!. However, if you are not sexually active (presumeably because you are not married) the bad effect of contraception and chemical abortion would not be an issue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's acceptable to use birth control pills for legitimate medical purposes other than preventing pregnancy (including skin conditions as you have mentioned) -- though from a non-religious point of view I'd be concerned about the long- and short-term side effects possibly outweighing the benefit!. You'd need to examine your own motives in accepting B/C pills for acne treatment in favor of other recommended treatments, and be certain that the effect of contraception in this case isn't something you tuck into the back of your mind as a secondary "benefit"!.
