im 15 now, i got my first period the summer before i turned 14 !.for my first period, it way very very light, and like a rusty reddish brown color!. it only lasted about 4 days!.
then about 2 months later i got it for 5 days, the every next month it got heaver and longer!.
now it lasts anout 7 days, its heavy the first 3 days , but very light the last few days!.
for me, probably the wost thing is i never know when im going to get it!. print out a calendar online and highlight the weeks that you get it, and write the number of days inbetween your periods so you can kinds of predict when your next on is going to be!. for those days you can be pepared =]
If i were you i wouldent use tampons just yet, id wait till your third period, when its heaver and more regular!.

Different girls mean different cycles! When you get your period everytime you get it, keep track of the days and you'll know when yu'll get it, how long, and e!.t!.c!.!. I know my period lasts for seven days and it starts on Sundays, I get PMS about 4 days before my period and I'm still finding out when I ovulate though!. It all depends on your body!. My sister has hers every five weeks, four days, PMS everyday (j!.k!. she's just a crankie wankie), e!.t!.c!.!. I hope this helps!

3/5 days in general!. you may or may not experience cramping!. take a non aspirin product like Tylenol, mydol or pamprin!. also a hot bath or compress would be of some benefit!. until your body establishes your own cycle pattern, you period would be very irregular, you may even miss a month!.!.!.!.this is normal!.!.!.!.!.!.most important, keep in mind that every one is different, at least to some degreeWww@Answer-Health@Com
Its different for all girls!. I would say its more like 5-7 days at your age, but only two or three of those days are going to be heavy, the rest you will still need to use protection but it won't be that bad!. Mine lasted 7 when I first started getting them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
3-7 days!.Also carry a little makeup bag with pads,tampons,

its different for everyone!. but around 3-6 days!. and for the first two years it will be irregular, so it could be different every time for a while!. and its also not bad the first year!. its really light!. so enjoy that part while it lasts!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Anywhere from 4-7 days typically!. Only advice is use the smallest tampon that fits your needs and change it like you should to reduce the risk of pelvic inflamatory disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
