Blood Plattlet Count?!


Question: Blood Plattlet Count!?
I'm pregnant and my doc said my cound last week was 119, 000 and before that i was 121,000 today they took my blood again and i dont know yet, i'm 38 weeks pregnant and doc said if it get low i have to be induced and if it's under 100,000 i cant have an epideral and will have to go on steroids!. does any one know if it'd posible for me to go down enouph to get enduced in a week and how low does it have to get!? any info will help i wanna be induced but i dont wanna die lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would avoid getting induced if at all possible--your chance of dying or having complications with the baby go way up!. Inducing is also related to unnecessary C-sections!. I think your doc is worried that you may be developing TTP (related to the pregnancy), and is worried about you bleeding!. TTP is a platelet disorder that can cause clots and bleeding--go figure--and you might want to look it up on webmd!. You need to listen to your Doc and do whatever he tells you to do to have a healthy pregnancy!. Maybe you could get donated platelets if you must induce--and still have an epidural!. Just don't be surprised if you end up with a C-section!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
