What is that mucus from?!

Question: What is that mucus from!?
I know it sounds gross but I went to the bathroom earlier and I noticed a large amount of mucus down there!. I have never had this before so Im just curious, it was white-ish, and odorless!. I know I don't have an STD (besides being engaged to my boyfriend I also get checked every 6 months the last time being a month ago)!.
I know some women get mucus before their period but I don't!.
So what can it be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Just because you've never had it or never noticed it, doesn't mean it's not normal!.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge (mucous) is normal!. The vagina is self-cleaning!. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused!. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away!.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle!. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching!. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection!.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating!.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising!.

Vaginal lubrication is provided by the Bartholin's glands near the vaginal opening and the cervix!.

The membrane of the vaginal wall also produces moisture, although it does not contain any glands!. This is referred to as mucus!.!.!.!. the vagina is self-cleaning!.

Before and during ovulation, the cervix produces cervical mucus, which provides a favorable environment for sperm to survive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you do now!

Sounds like your getting egg white cervical mucus, which generally occurs before your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you sure its not just discharge!?
Discharge can be a whiteish colour that doesn't smell!. It can also appear in clumps aswell!.

Its probably nothing to worry about!!

Hope this helps!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
