i started my cycle on may 23rd and i got the shot on the 28th and i am still bleeding, the doctors said it would be okay but if i dont stop by next monday to call them back
does anyone have this problem!?!? is it normal to bleed for this long!?

People say the depo shot usually makes period lighter and eventually makes bleeding stop, but it effects everyone differently! I had the shot a few weeks after having a baby 9of course I was still bleeding from giving birth)! I bled constantly for the next 3 months, then I went back to OBGYN, told them whats going on and they suggested doing 1 more shot ( assuming things would straighten themselves out) , so I took it, I kept bleeding so of course I didnt get the shot anymore, I bled for 10 months straight! Obviously the shot can have reverse effects on some people!. I am not trying to scare you, just telling you my situation with Depo!. You should talk to your Dr!. and explore other options if possible! GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well think about it, you're messing with your hormones, right!? So there's gonna be a disturbance sometimes!. Im suer your body is just trying to get adjusted!.

what is the deprovera shot!? I had a bleeding problem so my gyn wanted me to take a biopsy and gave me birth control pills to regulate my period and it stopped after 13 days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
girl all I can say is be careful, of that shot, and I hope you do not smoke because that is dangerous, get another opinionWww@Answer-Health@Com
