I just got a Diva Cup, and I expect my period in the next couple days!. I was wondering if anyone had a problem getting it to "seal" the first time she used it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use Instead and I've found they do fine as long as you empty regularly!. I am not sure if it "seals"!. It just works with gravity!. YOu have to get it high enough!. It may leak if it's full and you don't empty when you have a bowel movement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are using the Model 1 and you are experiencing some leakage, you need to exchange it for the Model 2!.
If you are using the Model 2 and you are experiencing some leakage, you need to do some Kegel exercises!. Since it is the vaginal muscles that hold The DivaCup? in place it is important to do Kegel exercises daily, especially after childbirth!. Unfortunately, as we age, the vaginal muscles tend to get softer as well!. Kegels are highly recommended and will make a big difference to ensure a better seal!.
To find your vaginal muscle, sit on the toilet with your legs parted!. As you start to urinate, tighten your vaginal muscles if to stop the urine!. Hold for a count of three and then relax and then repeat ten times!. Since these exercises can be done at any time throughout the day we recommend that you do at least 100 Kegels a day (about 5 minutes)!.
Like most muscles in our body, once it gets toned up, you should notice an improvement when wearing your DivaCup? and it should not leak!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
