Question: Tampons!?!!? Serious replies only plz!.!.!.!.!.!?
I'm 37 and tried using one for the first time last month!. The directions said you are not supposed to feel it at all if it is in right!. It did feel a bit weird but I figured it was because I was not used to it!. It was only there a minute or so and I just started to feel crampy and even a little light-headed!. Maybe I pysched myself out reading about TSS on the box!. I took it out right away and have been too scared to try it again!. I am going on vacation next month and really don't want my "friend" to keep me from swimming!. Do you really not feel anything at all if it is in properly!? Thanks for any advice, I know this probably seems silly for someone my age to be asking!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may just not have had it in far enough!. Because it is true that you are not supposed to feel it!. Don't worry too much about TSS as long as you are changing your tampon often enough, and don't use too high of an absorbency!. TSS is so rare now that most doctors won't see a case of it in their medical careers!. And did you know that only 50% of TSS cases happen to menstruating girls/women that are using tampons!? The other 50% happens to men, children and non-menstruating women!. TSS is caused by a staph germ that lives on our skin, if certain conditions develop then it makes it grow out of control!. So you don't even have to be a tampon user to be at risk and odds are that it will never happen to you or anyone you know!. So don't psyche yourslef out about that! Keep trying with the tampons, since you said you are nervous using them, you may have tensed up and made insertion harder for yourself!. Take a deep breath and relax your vaginal muscles while you are putting it in!. Here is a link on more info about toxic shock!.
The string will not become detached!.!.!.it is woven all the way up through the center of the tampon!. Before you insert it, while it is still in the applicator give it a firm tug to test it!. Even if on the odd chance that it would become detached (HIGHLY unlikely), there is no place for it to go, the vagina is not a "black hole" that things can get lost in!.!.!.you would simply need to feel around for it and remove it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well are you using cardboard or a plastic tampon!?!?
Cardboard was making me light headed b/c it felt weird going up there!.!.!.
but then I tried Tampax Pearl (Regular size) and it was plastic, and it was so easy!
just slide it in gently, not too fast, and you'll be ok!.
Dont worry, if you want to swim that badly, then you will get the determination to put it in!.!.!.

The chances of the string becoming detached are very, very slim!.!.!.even if it did, you could use your fingers to get the tampon out!.
If you felt anything at all, the tampon was not in far enough!. Insert tha applicator half way in then push the plunger!. Start with Jr absorbancy until you get the hang of it!.

You may just be anxious about a new experience!. I had the worst tampon experience and you may be doing the same thing!. I didn't know that tampons came out of the applicator for a year or so!. I got light headed and what not!. I also refused to use them!. But,now I can't even tell i'm using them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My wife of 8 years used tampons in the first few years of our relationship, and she had similar reaction to the little blighters!. She also suffered from candida and thrush at that time!. When she eventually started using pads only, the thrush and candida cleared from a course of medication and she never contracted it again!. It would seem it isn't all that healthy to use them continuously!. At the time our Geane informed her that some women have alergic reactions to tampons, and many other ladies are alergic to scented tampons!. If it doesn't feel right, don't use it - just don't swim in shark infested waters!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
