Question: How long should you be on birth control pills before having sex!?
I'm thinking of starting them soon, but how long should I be expected to wait before assuming they'll kick in and become another form of protection!? Is it instantly or do I have to wait for a certain period of time!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you've never taken them before, I think the general rule is anywhere from a week to a month depending on the type of pills!. Check with your doctor and read the packaging, but use a secondary form of protection for at least a month just to be safe!.

its usually between a month-two months!. mostly until your body is completely used to the new cycle of the birth control which one cycle is a month so yeah 1-2 months

After 3 months you should be okay!. But the pill is only 99!.8% effective!. I know many women who have gotten pregnant on the pill and even after their husband had a vasectomy!. So just be careful, and they do not protect against STD"SWww@Answer-Health@Com
