my mom is pretty sure i have a yeast infection casue she has had them!. is it okay to treat it with monistat without a doctor knowing!? i dont go to a gyno!. and if i do treat it and it is not a yeast infection will it do anything to me!? please help! desperate!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Monostat simply eliminates the overgrowth of yeast and can be used safely without adverse affects However, if your symptoms don't clear after treatment, have your mom make you an appointment to see your family physician, or if you prefer, referral to a Gyn for further treatment!.

Monistat certainly won't hurt you if it's not a yeast infection!.!.!.!.!.but if you've had unprotected sex, and the monistat doesn't help, you should probably be checked for a possible std!.

I found out recently that having a lot of yeast infections is genetic!.
My mom and I both have yeast infections, and I had the same worries that you do!.
Go ahead and use the Monistat, it won't hurt you!. If you're still having problems afterward, go to the doctor!.

no it wont doing anything to you if it happens that its not a yeast infection!. but it IS always good to get it checked b/c i have something called Strep B which is a virus in the uterus that CONSTANTLY causes yeast infections!. the only thing that i can use is an actual prescription from my doc!. so you know!.!.!.it doesn't hurt to have a professional diagnose and properly treat you!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
First just try the regular freminine itching cream and if it still itches and burns and stuff after a few days, than it's probably a yeast infection and then you shold do the monistat treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
