Answers:
By birth control I assume you mean the 3 main types, condoms (for the male), diaphram (female version of the condom), and the pill (hormonal contraceptive for the female)!.

By most, the condom and diaphram are standard contraceptives, with the former being more successful in prevention (98%)!. The diaphram is only 70-80% effective, and should be used in conjunction with other forms of birth control, e!.g!. spermicidal foam or a condom!. Some people are also allergic to latex (the most common material used to produce condoms), and there are certain condoms that are not produced with latex that these people use!.

I find it a bit surprising no one else has brought this up, but birth control pills has been known to have side effects!. including:

- Reproductive or breast problems such as changes in menstruation pattern/spotting, painful or missed periods even after going off the pill, changes in mucus from the vagain, changes in the cervis, thrush, breast pain, tenderness, enlargement and possible milk secretion, and changes in sex drive

-Stomach problems such as nausea, vomitting, abdominal pain, cramps, or bloating

-Difficulties thinking or working because of mood changes, including depression, migraines, nervousness, dizziness, and contact lenses becoming uncomfortable to wear

-Changes to appearance such as weight change, appetite change, swelling of hands ankles or feet, acne, rash, darkening of the skin (which may continue after you stop the pill) and loss of scalp hair, and increase in body hair!.

You can even get jaundice, in some severe cases liver cancer, and though it is unproven, studies have shown that women who take birth control pills are more likely to get breast/cervical cencer!.

However, many people take the pill without any side effects at all, and some people try out different types of pills to find the one without or with the least number of side effects for them!.

Hope this helps you, good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
