Yes it is normal!. Especially if she is involved in a sport or dancing!. Or if she has a disease!. My friend has Cistic Fibrosis (spelling!?) and she hasn't started hers yet and she's 16!. One of my friends friend hasn't started her's yet and she's almost 18!. She dances a lot and sometimes workingout a lot can raise a females testorsterone levels in her body and delay her periods from happening for a few years!. It's normal!. Some girls just have a higher testosterone level in their body and that just puts their first period back a few years!.
I hope that helped!.

its completely normal!. tell her not to worry and enjoy it whilst shes not got them! lucky thing! shes just a late developer!. and if everything else about her is developing then her peiods wont be too far off!. 6months max!. if she is really worried tell her to see a doctor!. but live her life to the max without them! enjoy it!

yeah, your friend should worry when she's in her mid 16's and hasn't started yet!. Year and a half left of freedom!

But if everything else is developing, she should start before her 16's

don't worry, be happy she can go to the beach whenever she wants!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is perfectly normal!. Although the average age to get your period is 12-13, some girls get theirs at age 9, and some girls get theirs at age 16 or 17!. She just has to wait for her time to come!. If she doesnt get hers by age 16 or 17 she might want to see a doctor!. :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

its all has to do with weight!. if her body reaches its optimum weight (% of body fat) for conception her period will start!.

your body doesn't care how old you are, it doesn't go!.!. oh okay your 12 i think its time to have your period now! it cares if you have the strength to carry a child!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All girls develop and start their periods at different rates and ages than their friends!. Some girls start as early as 7 or 8 right up to their early 20's!. If she is worried she can speak to her doctor, but i'm sure she'll be fine!. Once they start , she'll wish they hadn't anyway!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not everyone is the same!.

I got my period when I was 15, but then I didn't get it again until I was 17!. My mom took me to the doctor and they said everything was fine!.

So she is probably just a late bloomer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if she is developing breasts and a thinner waist, she should be having periods!. She should talk with her parent or trusted adult!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
