Question: Why do they measure the fetus if they just use the lmp anyways!?
whats the point of measuring a fetus to tell you how far along you are if they are just going to tell you the the date of your last period!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
they start of with the lmp but as they do ultra sounds they get a more accurate idea of your due date!. It just so happens that sometimes they got it right the first timeWww@Answer-Health@Com
Also they measure to check it is growing at the normal rate!.
As it is possible to have periods when pregnant, (one or two anyway) they find ths out if the measurements show a foetus a month older than you thought it was!.
The "official" date is the lmp anyway even if you know the only date you could have conceived on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually they go by the LMP at first and then possibly change the due date according to the ultrasound!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
