What is standard procedure after a miscarriage?!

Question: What is standard procedure after a miscarriage!?
I started bleeding on Memorial Day and went to the ER where they took my blood pressure and blood and sent me home!. The next day I called my doctors office to see if they had received any results from the blood test!. As it turned out they didn't even know I was bleeding, yet alone in the ER the day before!. I called Lab at the hospital where I was told they couldn't tell me anything but they would fax it to OB!. I called OB in the hospital and they said they didn't know anything!. Finally my OB had me do an ultrasound where we found no heart beat!. Later that night I started having excessive bleeding (down to my ankles) and severe contractions!. We once again went to the ER where the doctor told us it was a waste to be there even though I have a history of a bleeding disorder (thin blood)!. I was given morphine for the pain and sent home!. For a week I laid in bed bleeding and having intense pain before the baby finally passed!. I have still yet to have had any examination!. Normal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry for your loss

How far along were you!.!.!.if under 6 weeks a lot of OBS wont bother as it will be pretty much just a heavy period!. With your bleeding disorder you should have been kept an eye on!. I too have a bleeding disorder (haemophilia c) and have to take greater care and Id say your OBS was a little lacksadaisical in his approach to you!.
If you were further along than 5-7 weeks i'd make an appt at your family drs, ask them what should be happening!. If you were under 7 weeks and everything seems back to normal with your cycle then I'd say you'll be fine but if ANYTHING does not seem right, heavier, unusual symptoms, clots etc etc get yourself to your Drs
