Do you think this is malpractice?!
Question: Do you think this is malpractice!?
I had an appointment on Tuesday with my gynecologist to follow up because I recently had a miscarriage!. I was not feeling well!.!. The bleeding had stopped, but I had some extremely sharp cramps down there and I was feeling nauseous!.
When the doctor came into the room, she asked about a bruise on my face!. I said I did not want to discuss it, but she kept pressing the issue!. I firmly said no, and she went on with the exam!. She felt around, pressed on my stomach, and though I winced and cried in pain when she did it, she said I was "okay", and then said she wanted blood tests to confirm that I wasn't pregnant - even though I had paper work from the hospital that said I was no longer pregnant (miscarriage, duh) and that I had recently had a lot of blood work done!. I asked her if more bloodwork really was necessary!. She said yes and left the room without any explanation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont particularily think that it's malpractice however she does show a serious lack of morals and doesn't seem to prioritize well!. A doctor who is professional would have accepted your answer and continued on with the visit!. At the very least she should have done her job, and under no circumstances should you have been left alone after you fainted!.
I understand her persistence with the asking about the bruise (it would seem she had your best interests at heart) but she still should have done her job properly, though this is no grounds for malpractice I think you should seriously reconsider seeing her again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The question about the bruise may very well have been very important!. A bruise can be a sign of many serious physical problems!. You should have answered the doctor!. A simple, "An accident" would have been enough!. You don't need to explain how/why!. But the doctor needs to know it was an injury and not some illness related to your complaint!.

It sounds like she was worried about your safety, since you just had a miscarriage and have a bruise on your face, she probably thought you were beat up!.
The other symptoms you have sound normal, considering your history!. You can take Motrin for the cramps!.
She wanted to get another test to make sure you don't have a tubal pregnancy, because that can mess up your fallopian tube and make it harder to get pregnant in the future among other problems associated with it!.
I'm not sure why you think it is malpractice, sounds to me like she is not the best communicator, but I'm not convinced she did anything wrong!. You might want to start looking for a new doctor, since you said she made you feel worse than when you got there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i really dont think theres any legal action you can take!. of course, she didnt help your problem which means you'd have to go back!.!.!.why!? i dont even know!. if i were you, id just find a new doctor!. id also try to get this doctor on the phone and tell her that you're going to a new practice so that you can be treated and respected like a patient!. id tell her to mind her own damn business too!.!.!.man this kinda fired me up!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i can't see anything here that would indicate that you had been harmed in any way from your md visit!. if you feel that you need emergency treatment for abdominal pain or bleeding i would access the emergency dept at your local hosp!. you didn't mention whether you had a d&c after your miscarriage!. please watch yourself for fever and vag discharge, bloody or unusual!. i'm hoping that the bruise on your face is not from abuse!. you know that staying in an abusive relationship is not living, it is putting your physical self in constant harm's way!. it is a bad decision to cement your feet to a black highway, that soundless eighteen wheelers travel !. take care!. svWww@Answer-Health@Com
