Question for women who have had an abortion?!

Question: Question for women who have had an abortion!?
I keep hearing from pro-life/anti-abortionists that abortion almost inevitably causes women to have emotional distress/scarring and regret the abortion!.

I have had two abortions, one at 19 and one later, while I was married but we had no income and couldn't care for a third child!. I don't regret either abortion, my only "emotional reaction" is embarrassment for the circumstances that led to the first pregnancy (I was stupid to believe the guy's claims that he was sterile) and a mild curiosity about the gender of the second!.

So, my question is what are the reactions of women who *have* had abortions; what was your experience in regards to emotional distress and do you regret your choice!? If you have regrets or had emotional difficulty with the abortion, was it the abortion itself or the circumstances that led to the need for one!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've never had an abortion!. Two of my friends have, one who was raped and assaulted now has issues becuase of it - both the rape and the baby!. The other friend had to have an abortion for medical reasons, if she'd kept it it would have been very sick and there was a very strong likelyhood that she would have died!. She wanted that baby sp much and will always mourn the loss!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having in the past worked in a clinic that performed terminations, I will tell you and everybody else how I helped both very young and older females!. Just remember what you are doing is the correct thing for you right now as you have no other choice!. Life is never regretting anything only things that you would change if you had to do it all again!.
Also 6 weeks after the termination the females came back and we had a counseling session which always helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

About your first reason!. never trust a guy XD

Don't really know!. If it was for my own health reasons or for the fetus's circumstances (like German measles) i really would rather abort the fetus provided it was mutated or something!.

but it was still a life/human, i'll probably regret it but like i said, if it was for the purpose of making the child not face a hard life then i would abort it!.

I know i'm still 18 and this is not my forte but your topic is interesting!. If I were in the place i would've used contraceptives (it's cheaper and less hassle, but you already know that)Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have never had any abortions myself!.!.
but my mother has had two of them once when she was a teenager and another just 2 years ago because she was on medications and 42 and didn't feel she could take care of a child!.!.!.
although she doesn't regret what she did she still feels bad about it like she was wrong plus growing up a catholic doesn't help either she seems sad to talk about and it does bother her but she still says she would of made the same decision!.!.

now i know other people who have had abortions and don't feel anything at all don't fee bad or nothin so i guess every women feels differently when it comes to that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
